Crisantemo Beret

Introduction + Design

The Crisantemo Beret (Chrysanthemum in English) borrows from its namesake the way it blooms in Autumn.  It’s also easy to keep, just as this beret is easy to make! The shape of the flower itself is made with bobbles, which makes a lovely texture.

The Crisantemo Beret is worked in the round from the top of the crown to the brim, increasing stitches every other round to create the circular shape, and then the stitches are decreased in the same ratio to get the brim circumference.

Calling all Beginners in Circular Knitting!

Are you just getting the hang to knitting in the round? Then the Crisantemo Beret is the ideal project to work on. It’s a short and small project, so your hands will have an easier time using the dpns.

All the texture

Are you a bobble lover? I gotta say I’m guilty as charged. I love how easy is to create patterns with them, and how much texture the fabric gets! Plus, since it’s only a hat, you won’t be making THAT many bobbles :)

A quick knit!

You can likely wip this project in a FEW DAYS, tops, because of the weight of the yarn, and how easy this project is. What are you waiting for?

Notes

I am a loose knitter. If you are a  tight knitter, I advise you to try  knitting a gauge swatch with one needle size bigger than stated in  pattern.

When binding off stitches for the sides of the bandana, use the sloped bind-off for a cleaner and finished edge.

For best results, read the entire  pattern before you start to knit.  Send your questions /comments to [email protected]
